How do I communicate with my son or daughter while they are at Stone Mountain Adventures? International campers have access to the telephone every day during meal times. We also give international campers the opportunity to send e-mails every few days. Parents can also call camp during meal times and send e-mails to info@sma-summers.com with your son or daughter’s name in the subject line. We know how important it is to stay in contact during the summer.

How do we pay for camp tuition? We accept credit cards (Visa or MasterCard), Checks drawn in US Dollars or International Bank Wires. Please contact us for our bank information.

How do international campers get to Stone Mountain Adventures? All of our international campers fly into Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC. Our experienced camp counselors will meet your son or daughter immediately outside of customs. We offer van transportation to and from Dulles International Airport (approximately three hours travel time). Arrival times on the opening day of camp should be between 2pm-6pm. Departure times on the closing day of camp should be between 1pm-6pm.

Do you offer English lessons? We do offer English classes as a morning activity two mornings a week. There is an additional charge for this program of $150.

Will international campers be in a cabin with other non-English speakers? We are a small camp and, depending on the size of the cabins and the ages of our international campers, you may be in a cabin with another non-English speaker. Remember that little time is spent in the cabins as you do not do activities with your cabin.

How many international campers will be at Stone Mountain Adventures? It varies from year to year, but we may have up to 20% of our summer population as international campers. Please remember that all activities and meetings are conducted in English and that campers are fully immersed in American culture the whole time they are at Stone Mountain Adventures
